Conexões Bienais de Arte no Brasil

Biennial Art Connections in Brazil Continental distances from our country are not just territorial. They also apply to social and cultural distances, with strong implications in the space of Art and in the place of the artist. In Brazil, many collective initiatives take place in parallel in the field of culture and art. However, they remain disconnected or even unknown to each other as if they occupied different territories and objectives, other than the democratization of culture and the arts in our country. In order to shorten distances and bring together some experiences of biennials in Brazil, in addition to strengthening and encouraging other initiatives in the field of visual arts, we propose the first meeting of Biennial organizers and curators in national territory. The meeting was held by the Join Zoom Meeting platform on July 30, 2020, with the theme: Biennial Connections of Art in Brazil - panoramas and future perspectives. Cruz das Almas da minha cidade. Pictográfico séc. XVIII.

Introduction ''Cruz das Almas, minha cidade'' is an old project that has been outlining the visual history of our municipality for a long time. Divided into three parts: Pictographic I - History and architecture; Pictographic II – Its people, their values ​​and Pictographic III – Future City and University, what time it is delivered and in this edition an overview of the architecture and history of the houses and their landscape from the end of the 19th century to little more than the second half of the century XX in the then known plateau city. It is noted that some paintings were made from old photographs provided under careful auspices of residents and families that still retain traces with the city. Acrylic paint was used on A4 size paper for better storage and conservation. of collection by future researchers and strangers of our culture and history. I would like to thank the collaborators, friends and colleagues that I met during this work in long journeys of oral history and prose and through any indulgence I am very grateful. “A Casa”. Uma Exposição de Arte Contemporânea

“The House” An Exposition of Art Contemporary `The house', this place bred as a primitive necessity of protection and shelter, becomes to indulger as ethical agency and aesthetic so that the world is there does not modify, or the the least diminishes the attrition, with the perception in sight of visual violence’s, or extensive obstacles to the directions. Challenging alternations in its construct, I take refuge, ceiling, social dynamism, barrier, emptiness, multiplicity. The domesticities of the art as beyond comfort, comfort, security and well-being restored for diverse ways, as we will see in this election of workmanships. Long ago snails, turtles, jokes-of-adobe, man of the cave, would say absent or passing flaneaur of this condition of communion to the said and worked things. The house, and already artistic contemporary, functions to an ad-lib compound and real appearance, hybrid of ludicidade, potentiality and endeusamento. Therefore that thus, in way also architectural, argues these elements of expositive form, counting for this the representation of artists plastic, detaching works that of certain form dialogue with this meantime, accumulating of stocks fortuitous provisions and dialogues, where the production sphere, I forge and quarrel if they mapeiem and if they extend around of the art.
